Watch out New Zealand we have another quadzilla in the making.

15 year old Ethan Coulter, brother of the affectionately named Hamish 'Quadzilla' Coulter for his massive and cut quads, is following in his brothers footsteps and is preparing for the NABBA WFF Christchurch Grand Prix in May.

Ethan only turned 15 at end of January and is already 5'10" and weighs 98kg (he was 112kg in 2011).  Hamish says Ethan was a big baby and very accident prone.  He had broken his arms twice and legs 3 times before he was 2!

The Coulter family are very sport orientated. With 4 boys and 3 girls they have all played representative Rugby, Basketball, Tennis, Dancing, Golf, Swimming, Running and of course bodybuilding amongst them. "Just about all of us train with weights on a daily basis and all follow some sort of nutrition plan" Hamish said.

Their Dad is a Personal Trainer too so its no wonder  that Ethan picked up the iron game at an early age.

He started mucking around with weights when he was 10 in their Dad's studio gym and training got pretty serious when he was 13 so he could bulk up for Rugby.

Hamish said with his size he is a very imposing Prop, but that comes second to Bodybuilding now.

Both Hamish and Ethan train at
Flex Fitness Gym in Hamilton where Ethan is performing some impressive lifts.

Currently Ethan's best lifts are: Squat is 185kg, Bench is 135kg. Deadlift is 160kg. Barbell Shoulder Press is 80kg. Other interesting Stat is Ethan has 28" quads and no doubt will be bigger as he gets older. Scary.

Yes! There will be more pics and video of Hamish in another article.
He is looking pretty awesome right now!

Getting Ethan on stage is a team effort "I write his training programmes for him in conjunction with our dad. He has been working with Jake Campus (from flex fitness gym) doing his nutrition since Dec 2011." Hamish said.

"Ethan prepares all his meals the night before (actually his dad buys the food and his mum cooks it lol) and he takes it to school. His mates thinks he's weird eating chicken breast and rice for every meal while they eat pies and drink coke. But the girls appreciate his dedication."

Good to see such dedication at a young age and we wish Ethan all the best of luck!
