25 year old Fawad Ahadi fits the bill of an IFBB Physique Pro. You know, the perfect mix of a great body, good looks and ofcourse the styled hair to cap off the 'aesthetics' needed for the Physique class. 

But what you didn't know about Fawad, and it'll probably surprise you, is that he also has the brains to go with the brawn.  He finished a Bachelor's Degree in Aviation from Massey University in 2008 and then worked with Air New Zealand in 2009.  While with Air NZ, he did a post graduate in management in 2011 and then Post graduate in Marketing in 2012.  He was going to his Masters in Marketing this year but an opportunity to work in the gym in 2012 paved his path to work in the fitness industry.

Fawad, who came to NZ from Afghanistan in 2000, was so desperate to join at gym that he lied about his age. He was 15 but you had to be 16 to join.  So as you can see his passion for the iron game started early. 

We last saw him at the NZIFBB Nationals 2012 where he won the Physique Tall class.  This year he's made some changes to his training and diet and is hoping to come in his best shape.

We caught up with Kurt to talk about his contest prep and ask that all important question "What colour will his board shorts be!"
