Hunk of the Moment

Currently we are spoilt with amazing talent in the competitive Open Men's Athletic class with the likes of Rick Ujfallusy, Greg Mawson, Jason Bartley, Andrew Murray, Craig Smith, Aron Enoka and ofcourse our current hunk Paul Mountfort competing this year.  The Nationals are going to be a great spectacle if/and when we see all these conditioned guys lining up again.

The Athletic class is all about athletes coming in at their most muscular and leanest condition and you can always rely on Paul Mountfort to fit the criteria every time.  His commiment to a clean diet and consistant training sees him come in sharp everytime but he'll be the first to admit he can always do better.

In this update we find out more about Paul's strategy and the secret to his condition as he prepares for the NABBA BOP on 20 August.

Sanjeev Narayan recently featured in issue 89 of Australian MuscleMag but since we couldn't fit everything into the printed version, we thought we'd expand on his story at Go Figure as its an inspirational one:

After years of dominating his weight classes and winning National Titles, Sanjeev Narayan finally achieved his dream of turning Pro when he received his Pro Card shortly after the NZIFBB Nationals in October 2010 from NZIFBB President Moe Moussawi.

Some of you will recognise our hunk John Templeton and his winning ripped physique that took out the NABBA Counties and the NABBA Nationals Novice Athletic Tall Class in 2010.

But John hadn't always been so muscular. When John joined the army in 2003, he was only a 52kg infantry soldier when he was posted to East Timor for a 6 month operational tour.

During that time he fell in love with training and set his sights on becoming an Army PTI (physical training instructor). After successfully passing the intense PTI selection process and the 6 month PTI training course John was given the opportunity of a lifetime and posted to train the New Zealand Special Forces.

John Left the Army in 2010 and started running boot camps and personal training which has led him to train some unique athletes ranging from senior citizens trying to lose weight and get in shape, body builders, boxers, football and rugby players, MMA fighters and a current NZ record holding Power lifter. John himself now weighs a lean 80kg and won the NZ 2010 Athletic Tall Bodybuilding competition.
