Lisa's Happy Snaps

It was great to see a big turnout of 42 athletes to the NABBA Auckland Champs on 5 May. I'd say probably more guys than girls but all were in great shape. In the Open class, Tom Wojick in Athletic Men was awesome and looks like he's put on more mass than last year but still scraped into athletic. He gets amazing detail into his muscle and that's why he consequently won the Overall Athletic Men's title at this show.

Open Figure was also the contest of condition. 4 ladies in this one but in different classes. Janine Haywood won the Open Short. Michelle Middleton won the Open Tall while Katrina Hall placed second. Tarren McCall made the transition from Senior Physique to International Figure in super shape, she won her class and also took out the Overall Figure Title.

Big Helen Aloia dominated the Physique women. At over 6 foot who wouldn't! but there were 3 other hard ladies up against her. Andrea Pearsall changed from figure to physique this year but unfortunately up against Helen but Andrea looked like a good physique girl. Tracy Jackson also grew out of figure into Physique and looked great with more muscle.

Good surprise to see Mike Allsopp-Smith turnout in the Open Men's class along with 5 others. One of them was 'Ben' from Pulp Sport TV who entered the contest for fun. Will be good to see some bodybuilding in the media and look forward to seeing it when it comes to air. Mike won his class and also took out the Overall Title.
