Nuria\'s Stage

Something a little different… Dealing with diversity!

I am currently helping two clients with their training & nutrition that have quite specific dietary requirements.  This is really fascinating for me and I see it as a good opportunity to expand on my own knowledge while I’m helping them find ways around their needs to still achieve their goals of adding lean muscle, & preparing for their first contests.

12-annalisenuria  Lisa asked me in her interview with Annaliese Chase & I what I thought regarding children training so I thought this would be a great topic for my section, it is also my area of specialty given training children 8yrs + is what I first started with back in 2002!

A little about my background in this area; I began by coaching girls at a private school in Christchurch for Sport Aerobic competitions, as they got older and moved with them and eventually worked in 7 schools in the Canterbury region from private & public/rural primary to single sex and co-ed secondary schools.   Camp Review!

Thanks to Brooke Thomsen & Sheldon Thomson current Team NfusioN members for their help with posing & fitness skill demonstration, having them ready to help with equipment set up & so on ensured things ran smoothly.  These two are also hugely passionate & enthusiastic about living a fit & healthy lifestyle in general as well as competing so are great role models for women starting out in the sport.
There was a huge amount of support & encouragement between all women during the weekend - following the camp I set up a group on Facebook "NfusioN Training Camps" which anyone who completes a camp can join.  This idea has really taken off!  We have been each posting up motivational quotes, healthy recipes & our training goals for the week etc., a great way to keep the motivation rolling after the weekend came to an
end.
