No man is an island especially when it comes to bodybuilding as athletes need a great support team behind them to achieve a big goal.

That goal for Kagan Orton is the NABBA Universe in October where he hopes to take out the u21 category.  In this update Kagan would like to ackowledge his great time and gives us an insight to his contest prep in the lead up to the show.

"Preparation this year will consist of week to week analysis to monitor my condition and the progress of my gains leading up to two competitions I will be competing at this year, which are the NABBA/WFF Nationals on the 5th of October and the NABBA Universe on the 12th October in the United Kingdom.

Kent Gibson will be my mentor throughout my months of dieting and I would like to thank him personally.

This will be my 3rd preparation as this is my 3rd year competing. In 2011 I won the NABBA/WFF Christchurch Grand Prix Junior Class and in 2012 I also won the same class in the same show then carried onto the NABBA World Championships in Dublin Ireland where I placed 1st with 6 competitors in my class. This year is going to be so exciting as this is my last year as a junior in the under 21 category and I am determined to take out the class and place 1st in the Mr Universe later in the year.

I signed with my 1st sponsor (ECM) East Coast Muscle after my 2nd competition leading up to the worlds in 2012.

Missy Hawkins has had such a huge influence in my short bodybuilding career and has given me many great opportunities within the sport I love. Missy is a great friend and I would like to extend my gratitude and thank her very much for everything she has done.

I then signed with my 2nd sponsor (Topmark Nutrition) a few months after my world title win. The guys and girls at Topmark have been so helpful and they are supplying me with numerous numbers of supplement brands and products, for example, ON Nutrition and Mutant, to name a few.

Nic Hawes, I would also like to say thank you for your help towards bodybuilding and my goals.

Also a big thank you to the NABBA/WFF Federation, for without your guidance and continued support it wouldn't have been possible. Thank you for believing in me and your generosity. NABBA/WFF is like a huge family that are always there to support each other and it also gives you the chance to meet some really good people.

And lastly a massive thanks to my supportive family and partner. It's always good to know I have all your support."
