The standard of the bikini class has steadily been improving since its introduction a couple of years ago and that has continued in this contest. Both the Novice short and tall would have been a tough challenge for the judges as all the girls were in great shape. But it was Jessica with her nice combination of toned yet not too lean figure that won her the tall and overall title.

There was no bodyfitness at this show (ie posing) so the figure was just quarter turns. No physique athletes entered this contest. The lineup of figures presented a variety of conditioned athletes from the lean figure to fuller but less muscular figures. The novice short was won by and the tall by .
The Open class was a great watch. Janere Reid (kiwi living in Adelaide) flew in and wowed us with her full muscled figure to be the only athlete in the Open Tall class while Open short was fought out between Claire Torr, Teneka Hyndman and Roma Shapleski. Claire looks like she's put on some good mass and appears much sharper than Nationals last year. Teneka lived up to our expectations of her as she looked lean and full with those boulder shoulders. Roma wasn't quite as lean as the two but has nice muscle and shape. Claire perhaps edged out Teneka this time because she didn't show as much definition as Teneka.
Supry Sos as usual presented awesome conditioning to win the Open u70kg class over Raj. The closest contest of the day would've been between Kristian Bray and Regan Ioane in the Open Men o80kg class. We think this is the best conditioning we've seen Kristian as he's come down much leaner than his contest last weekend. While Regan wasn't in his best condition, his mass and symmetry edged him out over Kristian.
While I was not there in the evening, I hear that it was again an efficient show hosted in a fun atmosphere by IFBB Pros Raechelle Chase and Darryn Onekawa.
Overall it was a well run show and an enjoyable one for all. Thanks Moe and the NZIFBB for letting Go Figure share the day with our viewers.
