There were some nice physiques in the men's classes too. Another Tarren McCall trained athlete Damian Alene showed nice symmetry which held up his thick ripped muscle perfectly to take out the novice short class. Strongman Reuben DeJong made a great transition to bodybuilding presenting a well conditioned physique. While handsome hunk Paul Ah Kuoi showed some great improvements since he last competed 2 years ago. It was great to see these 3 guys posedown for the overalls. It probably came down to Damian and Paul but Damian with his extra back depth and leannes just edged out Paul. The other highlight of the show was the guest posing routine by Jo Stewart, Bheema and the John Wititi Kapahaka Group. With music of Rhianna's 'Where have you been all my life' blasting at full boar, Jo and Bee captured the tribal beats and used the music to display their muscles perfectly. It was also inspiring to see the kapa group channel their energy to give us a great display of their culture and beats. Overall, Naera Johnson and Timi Taurawera put on a great friendly show for the athletes and audience. The show was very efficient and we were finished well in time for afternoon tea! Thanks for a great day! Lisa, Go Figure 2 September 2012 |
