| If you missed the IFBB NZ Elite Show then you
missed out on seeing some fine figures and physiques from New
Zealand, Australia and one mighty hunk from Hungary. As you can see
from the pics, the quality was high in all classes. The best of our own local male talent turned up for this show including national and international multi titled athlete Alex Simays, crowd posing favourite Tony Ligaliga, the new talented juniors 19 year old Steve Orton of Christchurch and 22 year old Dylan Stevens of Nelson. |

| It was great to see these guys, who don't usually
compete in the same federation, pose down side by side in a high
class event. But it was the hard and vascular Zoltan Toth from Hungary who won on his
condition. However we're sure the kiwis who were on stage in that
lineup of 12 guys enjoyed the thrill of competing against the
best. Generally this was a well run show, ran slightly late in parts but no major glitches. Must say Aaron Gilmour - of dancing with the stars fame - did a fantastic job as MC and kept the show fun for all of us! |

| The Elite Figure Geez Australia! you claimed Phar Lap, Pavlova, Crowded House and now you claimed the Elite Figure Title too! oh well at least we still got the Bledisloe Cup... just. Yes the well conditioned figure of Australian Anita 'Bubbles' Nicolaou won the Elite figure title from 12 gorgeous athletes. About 12 Aussies came over to compete in this show and it was great to see them making the effort, eventhough you did come and take our stuff ;) |

| Actually out of the top 5, 4 were Aussies. What's
going on??!! our sole kiwi rep was the ever sharp Fiona Wallace who
placed 5thbehind Anita. 2nd was the sultry Ellena Tsatsos who was
called out as many times as Anita, so it must've been a very close
call between these 2 Aussie babes. 3rd was Ally Johnston and 4th
Sarah Picken-Brown. It was a pretty even field with 6 Aussies and 6 Kiwis. Representing the kiwis were Lisa Bellingham, Karen Montague, Farah Deobkhata, Jane Anderson and a couple of novice figures whom I haven't seen before but they were in pretty good shape. But the Aussies just seem to have the edge over the kiwis. They were little fuller and leaner, but no doubt now that we know what the Aussies look like the kiwis will be better prepared next time! Models Some pretty hot contestants in this class including former figure girls Rhonda (2nd) and Heidi (3rd). But it was the blonde bombshell Melissa Misson from Akl (in the right pic) who took out the title. |

Physique. This was basically a 2 horse contest between Eleanor Stewart and Julie Harris. Eleanor had the mass while Julie was super hard and detailed. In the end judges went with Eleanor's mass but it was great to see 2 great physiques battling it out. Donna Bezer who got 3rd had some pretty decent mass too. We're sure by the Nationals she'll be quite the contender! |
