1 March: Having an earthquake hit 10 days before an international figure contest isn't ideal preparation. But Nuria Novoa wasn't going to let the earthquake shake her determination to compete at the Arnold Amateur on 6 March. So with her steely resolve, Nuria just decided to pack up and leave Christchurch 2 days after the quake to focus on her final preparation with the help of Moe Moussawi. |

Since arriving in Auckland on Thursday 24 Feb, Moe has got her plunging into hard training and long cardio sessions to squeeze every ounce of water out of her athletic figure. On the day that I visited her training, she'd already done 80mins cardio in the morning. Then it was 2 hr full bodyworkout in the aftenoon, then at least another 45min treadmill in the evening. |

| It is this type of schedule that she's repeating for another 4 days before she flies out to the Arnold Amateur. We have no doubt with her focus and determination to present her best figure, Nuria will represent herself and New Zealand well. We wish her all the best of luck. Go Nuria!
