alt Last year figure athlete Lesley Rothera competed in 6 shows which include 3 regionals and 3 internationals spread throughout the year. 

Never one to stay still, Lesley has got another hectic schedule of shows lined up for 2012. 

These include the NABBA WFF CNI and Christchurch. Gold Coast Southern Hemisphere Champs (Australia May 27th), WFF Universe (Austria June 9th) and NABBA Worlds (still to be decided-Ireland June 16th)

 

Currently weighing 54kg (Jan '12) Lesley says she doesn't want or need to put on any more size as she has to come in at 50kg at contest time.  Instead she's working on making her shoulders appear fuller and etching her hard abs for this year.

Lesley, part of Team Evo or Evolution Systems, has intensified her training since starting to train with her new training partner and team mate Nelly Vaeosea.  Together they push each other to new levels and weights. 

Here is a glimpse of Lesley's Shoulder and arm training which include:
All exercises 4 sets 10-12 reps

1. Seated lateral raises
2. Smith Machine shoulder press
3. Rear delt machine
4. Tricep Pushdowns
5. Barbell bicep curls
6. Lying down tricep extension
