Hard to believe its been a year since Lisa jetted off to compete at the NABBA Worlds.  Last year it was South America, this year its in Dublin where we hope many athletes will be green with envy with how our kiwi gal is looking!

Lisa is definitely looking alot leaner than last year with the help of Mark Anderson overseeing her diet.  She looked great at the chch show and no doubt will look even sharper by the weekend.

Lisa Pumping Up video! We took some video of Lisa's awesome muscles while she was pumping up backstage at the NABBA WFF Christchurchurch Grand Prix so you can see for yourself her hardwork in action.  Plus we ask lisa a few qns about her contest prep leading to this show.

Good luck Lisa, Kagan Orton and Lesley Rothera competing at the Worlds too!!!!

1. You look alot leaner than you were the same point last year. What weight are you comparative to last and what was the main difference in your diet this year compared to last.

I have been lucky to have the help of Mark Anderson this year, we've made some tweaks with the diet/cardio and also deplete and carb up. Also last year we aimed to come in at 90% at the Christchurch show and this year changed to being fairly much bang on for this year's Christchurch show and sharpen up even further for the Worlds 4 weeks later.

2. Have you approached your cardio differently too? ie more? and/or different?

Yep - added another 15-20 minutes to each session - oh and have become one with the stairmaster (broke it once, (I think from overuse) but great team at Fit Canty got it running again the next day).

3. What rep range have you been training in with your weights to help you get leaner, have you been doing things differently there too.

Not really any change with regards to the weights - always go heavy no matter what and usually try for 20 workings sets - I did stop teaching spin about a year ago now after the worlds last year and think they have helped my leg size.

4. Are you happy with how you're looking since the Worlds is almost here?
Yes definitely - If you're always improving each year then you can't be anything other than happy.

5. How do you cope travelling with having specific food issues you need to deal with. How far can you take cooked with you before your stopover. And what do you after your stop over with food?!

Almost got this down to a fine art - each time you travel you learn and one of the biggest lessons I've learn't is you can't take too much prepared food with you. You never know when you'll get delayed and nothing worse if you're on that plane hungry. I eat alot of white fish, eggs whites in that last week so poor Dave sitting next to me but bonus is he does get two inflight meals everytime :)
During the flight is also when you are hydrating, and if they can put you on an isle next to the bathroom then you're all good. :)

6. Do you know how many athletes will be lining up against you. And are you excited to be on international stage again?

From what I know - there is 80 countries attending - I'm not sure how many will be in my class, but the brazillians are usually at each show and they always put up a good fight!!!I can't wait to get back on stage. I'm also looking forward to supporting the rest of our team who are every bit as excited as I am.
