6. more than likely you'll be the
only competitor in your sportsmodel class, does it bother you to
compete by yourself and would you say to encourage more girls to do
this class.
It doesnt bother me to not have competition, and if there was
competition that wouldnt bother me either. My big goal for each
show is present a nice total package, regardless of whether or not
there may be competition.
A fit and athletic physique is important but this is not a
bodybuilding class. I believe the routine should be a main focus
and show balanced flexibility on both sides, blanced strength moves
and jumps, as should presentation (hair, tan, accessories, props,
facial presentation etc). |
We have NO SHORTAGE of girls who have the physical
skills to do well in this class, plenty of ex competitive sport
aerobics girls are floating round out there! Many have far better
skill levels than I do, but I don't think it's the training or
performing that doesn't appeal to some girls it's probably the
diet/lifestyle.
When I was training for aerobics I'd have chocolate bars most days
of the week, junk food regularly eat and drink and be merry yet the
15 plus hrs of training a week meant it never showed, I had to put
a leotard on yes, but no one was judging me on my bodyfat. I do
miss competiting in a sport that is judged on performance rather
than appearance, however both have their pros and cons, and it
would be awesome to see more girls giving fitness a go!
