Its taken a few days to get used to the tart taste of the apple cider vinegar but I have gotten used to my wakeup drink rather than my cup of black coffee. The coffee gives my heart a kickstart to the day but the the vinegar gives my digestive system a kickstart...if you know what I mean.  Since taking the drink I'm passing alot of water like the Niagra falls! so I probably have lost weight through water loss rather than fat.

For the first 3 days I took the vinegar 3 times a day before meals (may as well go hard and do it properly eh?!).  2tsp in a cup of water.  Who would've thought 2 tsp can be so potent but this stuff sure is strong.  The first couple days were a challenge but like I said, once I got used to the taste it was fine.  A friend recommended me put some ginger into it but that sounds more complicated.  I mean grate ginger then put it in is too fidly eh. I've had to eat worse tasting food so this vinegar was a sinch.

Generally the vinegar has been great for keeping my hunger pangs at bay and I feel fuller after meals. I feel clearer and less bogged down and bloated.  My eyes and skin look and feel clearer too. During the first week I deliberately upped my complex and fibrous carbs while cutting back on red meat.  This is to help easier digestion and 'movement' of food through my digestive system and speed up the detoxifying process. Plus ofcourse I was drinking alot more water.

I really noticed how more lethargic I felt though.  I think it might be because I took out the red meat as I felt I didn't have that up and go. I love red meat so this week I'll continue the vinegar but just put back some meat in my diet. Medium rare rump steak here I come!

The most difference I feel since taking the apple cider vinegar is how I'm not having that afternoon energy low after my afternoon tea.  Usually I'm starving between arvo tea and dinner but since taking the cider I seem to be able to manage my hunger and I'm not as hungry till when I'm due to eat. Then watch out, get out of the kitchen!

Overall I think this is a good simple and cheap supplement that has aided my detoxification and digestion process.  I'll keep taking it but perhaps not 3 times a day and cut it down to before lunch and dinner as I love my coffee too much in the morning!  If I couple this with some cardio, I might just even lose weight but I won't get too serious about that right now.

Give it a go if you feel you to give your system a clear out!

Well I've had quite a busy couple of weeks. Since my indulgent gluttonous weekend, I've been to the Gold Coast covering the Aussie comps.  While I was away I tried to eat as normally as possible, but you know when you're away your routine goes out the window and your body seems to function differently too.

So now after being back a week, I still feel bogged down.  No, not the toilet type.  But generally feel bit sluggish so I feel I need some cleansing.  I'm not going to go all out and do full on cleansing or lemon detox but thought I'd give the Apple Cider Vinegar a go.
Apple cider vinegar is/was one of those fad diets that promotes weight loss. I don't particularly want to do this for weight loss but if it happens, great.  I just wanted to use the cider as a cleanser for my system. I'm not going to do anything drastic with my diet either as I genereally eat plenty of vegetables but perhaps I'll cut out meat for a week.  Boo hoo good bye medium rare rump steak.

A bottle of apple cider vinegar is quite cheap, a bottle of healtheries brand was only $10, and I doubt I'd use the whole bottle. According to instructions you add a teaspoon or two of the vinegar to a glass of water and drink it before each meal.  Its going to be interesting organising this while I'm out and about during the day.
Apparently if you drink this before each meal, it will help curb your appetite and lose weight at the same time.  Some scientists recommend adding one or two teaspoons of honey to the mix as well but I don't think I need the extra sugar cals!

According to the author of apple cider vinegar weight loss, Stuart Miles " The weight loss will occur over time in a gradual matter.  It won't come flying off in huge chunks. The body weight should come off gradually, which allows for the body's fat cells to adjust to their new size.

Doctors and scientists believe that using apple cider vinegar as a weight loss supplement acts as an appetite suppressant. It helps to speed up your metabolism, curb your appetite, reduces water retention and helps users maintain a feeling of health and well being.

Many people that use apple cider vinegar fiind that this dietary supplement helps to lose weight gradually over time and the weight loss becomes permanent. Using this method of weight loss means you do not have to alter your food intake but you should still avoid any foods that are extremely heavy in fat. If you wish to lose even more weight while using the cider you should also add an exercise routine to your daily schedule.  Eliminating bad carbs from your food intake and adding more fruits and vegetables will help you lose more weight and make your body healthier".

So I'm going to give the Apple Cider Vinegar a go for a couple of weeks and see how I feel afterwards.  Will let you know the results how I go!
