At the 2009 Lisa
Bailey placed 8th in a large field of 17 at the NABBA
Universe in only her 2nd year in the physique

| Lisa says she needs a
long preparation time because she doesn't want to lose muscle -
which as you can see she has plenty of!
Standing at 5'4",
Lisa currently weighs 74kg and is aiming to be around 68kg on
contest day. Lisa is comfortable in her skin and
loves her size ‘ I like physique because to me its what
bodybuilding's all about - putting on
muscle'. |

 In the past year Lisa's been working hard on improving general thickness to her physique and conditioning in her legs with the aim of coming in harder for the NABBA Worlds comp. Beginning her contest prep means doing cardio. Lisa already does 2 spin classes a week but she'll be adding 45min cardio every morning. Her diet won't change too much. ‘I'm still having 6-7 decent sized meals and still having carbs at dinner time' she said. But has cut out treats like wine and ice cream. Lisa, with the help of her partner (Dave Smith's) trained eye and experience, aims to be ready for the Worlds at 10 weeks out from contest. "At that point we'll start to refine her diet" Dave said.  
 Lisa and Dave "I'm really enjoying competing with NABBA/WFF and having the support of Graeme Lancefield has been so fantastic as he is there for the athlete. My plans are to continue to compete with NABBA/WFF with the goal to win at some point the Worlds/Universe but enjoying competing and traveling while I'm doing it." Lisa said of her bodybuilding future.
