| 6 May update: Since the article below, Lesley has had a great run on the NZ bodybuilding scene. She won the NABBA Manawatu Open and Overall Physique on 6 April. Then on 30 April she won the NABBA/WFF Overall Ms Athletic and has been selected to keep at the WFF Worlds in Australia on 18 June. |

4 April: Since English figure athlete Lesley Rothera arrived in New Zealand in March 2010, she has been busy plunging herself into the Australasian competition scene. Lesley had been competing and training in the UK for the past 5 years. We first saw Lesley's lean condition compete in 2010 in NZ at the Australasian qualifier in October where she won her Novice Figure class. From there she went on to compete at the Australasians in Sydney. |

Early in 2011, she started contest dieting once again to compete at the IFBB Grand Prix Amateur on 12 March. This time placing 2nd at amongst a large field. But that's not all! Lesley has the NABBA Manawatu on 9 April and NABBA/WFF 29 April contests. A mini break then the NABBA/WFF Pan Pacific Champs in August in her sights. In this video we catch up with Lesley as she trains shoulders and triceps, and find out how she copes with dieting while working as Personal Trainer. |
