New! Rachel Revs Up (again), Mar 10 |
|
 |
I want to welcome back Rachel Mattock who's been lost in the wilderness for the past year or so. She'd been loosing her way with her eating, training and like many, overindulged on cardio hoping it would help her lose fat. Rach had been doing cardio twice a day and wondering why she was still the same weight.
Sick of going nowhere, my prodiGAL client returned for some timely injection of iron (the weight training kind) and a revamp of her eating plan. |
 |
Rach is only a small girl but her weight had 'ballooned' to almost 58kg but the most crucial factor was that her bodyfat had gone up to 18%, eek! from her svelt 55kg and 13% bodyfat a year earlier.
So it was back into a conditioning plan for Rachel and cutting back on her cardio. She did need to be convinced of this but she had no choice if she wanted to change.
And change she did. In 4 weeks, with her own hard work and discipline she's got down to 54kg and 14% bodyfat. Admittedly her bodymass did drop a little but we can up this again with the next heavy duty training plan. I have no doubt we can do this. Go Rach!
left: Trixie was also pleased to see Rach back.

From Rachel:
Four weeks ago I decided it was time to head back to Lisa after approximately 8 months for a new program and a re-focus. I had fallen into the habit of consuming too many carbs, too much wine, not enough protein and doing far too much running.
All of this reflected in my measurements/weight and BMI which was 18%, up from 12.95% 8 months earlier. |
 |
Lisa gave me a new balanced training program which i have thoroughly enjoyed over the last 4 weeks. I get to do alot of variety of exercises on my plan doing different things each day, so there's no chance of getting bored.
To accompany this, she gave me a more balanced meal plan which focused on eliminating the simple carbs from my diet, and introducing clean foods and lots of good fat and protein.
I had my check in today and the results were far better than I had expected! I have a new program to continue on with for the next 4-6 weeks and I expect to keep seeing results. Thanks Lisa! =)

Ivy's Mayhem |
|
From Lisa: How lucky am I to have another client with the dreaded Mirena devil stick implanted in them. Since I've already been through it with Kirstine, I was able to decifer what was going on with Ivy. Hopefully once this is sorted Ivy will be svelt and toned in no time.

24 feb update,
Its been a while since my last update, and lots has happeneed since then. I started training with Lisa 3x a week, was eating well, but we weren't getting any results or very little. No fault of Lisa's ofcourse.
Lisa asked me what contraception I was on. When I mentioned the Mirena IUD alarm bells went off. After reading about my fellow go figure training buddy, I realised that everythng she had been suffering from, I had too but just never knew what the reason was.
So after a couple of weeks deliberating over whether or not to remove, I decided I would. |

Lee Means It |
|
24 Feb 2010
Hi All, My weekly insalment,on how my training is going.
And am happy to say,it's going really well. Having that little Lisa sitting on my shoulder really helps. And it's good to feel the hurt the next day, knowing that i am doing something right.
Although it would be nice to find someone to train with,as i think it motivates you to go heavier.
Eating is also getting better on most days.Have added supplements also. So will let you know how they have made a difference. I guess, it's slowly but surely that wins the race.

Hi All,
It's been a couple of weeks since my last confession. Have been doing quite well especially with my training but my food is still a bit of a issue. Stresses of life hit us all in different ways and mine is I don't eat well.
Soooooooo now it's now or never, Lisa's diets on the fridge and have brought after training protein powder and there is loads of chicken and vegies and salad in my fridge.
Trained hard today, with back and triceps with abs,and tomorrows early start with legs. So till the next up date on wednesday, happy training and go hard.
Just think of Lisa being on your shoulder WATCHING YOU ( scary ). |

Say NO to Chipmunks! |
|
 |
Mission 2010: Say NO to Chipmunks!
So you're wondering why say no to chipmunks? Afterall they're oh so cute, the way they scurry round looking for food, their big bellies touching the ground. The way their cheeks are so big and all you want to do is pinch them and cuddle them because they're so cuddly. Not to mention they're now big film stars with their own music soundtrack.
|
 |
But really, DO YOU WANT TO LOOK LIKE ONE???!!! I'm sure many of you are looking in the mirror and thinking ‘where have my cheek bones gone?'

Kicking New Year Butt! |
|
New year has begun in earnest for me and a couple of my hardcore supergirls Ivy and Dawne. Our beautiful Auckland weather unexpectedly turned into a wintery day so instead of taking it easy in the gym (which they expected), I surprised them with a carpark workout.
Proving that you can train anywhere and without equipment I shocked their little lungs with jogging around the underground, which is rather large. There were also sprints, star jumps, pop squats, burpees at various intervals. But I know they loved the challenge. |
|
 |
 |
Ivy has returned to me after a year off dealing with some 'issues', don't we all have them?! she's back keener than ever and has a big goal she'd like to achieve by March.
We'll fill you in on her mission soon.
In the meantime, what's yours? email me to get started!!

Kirstine's Magic Oil plan |
|
No, I haven't gone to the dark side and incoporated the magic of Voodoo into my Superbody programmes! But rather the magic oil and the devil stick refers to a different diet strategy I took with my clients this year. And ofcourse devil stick refers to Kirstine's removal of the mirena 'devil stick' back in June. And wow what a difference the removal has made to her comps later in the year.
As you can see from pics below, the change was dramatic. Not only was it because the devil stick was removed but I made quite a change to Kirstine's diet as well. Plus lots of hard work and mental toughness from Kirstine were big factors in how Kirstine looked in 4 months. |
