Model Mum

A single mum, a Personal Trainer, a massage therapist, a figure competitor and now our Wonder Woman!

Michelle Dixon was recently featured at rockbodz.com by Maria Dunlop and we thought the questions are so good, we couldn't do any better so we thought we'd just transfer her story to our wonder woman page so thanks Maria for letting us share this.

You can't miss Michelle Dixon at a contest.  She's the one smiling, hugging everyone and is usually one of the more glammed up and gorgeous girls on stage.  And yet she is humble modest and dedicated figure.  Not only to her sport but to her 2 huge boys, whom she raised on her own for 11 years.  An awesome effort in itself!

In this profile, you'll find out how Michelle pretty much pulled herself by up by her bra straps to successfully forge out a career in the fitness industry and what drives her to compete in figure competitions.

Michelle will be competing at the INBA Auckland Champs this Sat 3 June!

Ruth 76kg
Even the healthiest of us can fall into the fat trap.  Just ask 28 year old Ruth Naidoo.  Ironically although Ruth is a lecturer in Health Science, through stresses of moving and forgetting about to keep herself healthy, she got into bad eating habits and the weight piled on.

One day she had enough of feeling depressed and miserable and decided she would feel better if she just lost 10kg.  And with that mission she contacted Tarren McCall to help her with her nutrition and the rest they say is history.
She not only lost the 10kg but has reached the svelt weight of 58.8kg, revealing a lean and muscular body which is almost ready to compete at the INBA Champs in June.

Ruth has not yet quite finished her transformation but she shares with us her journey so far....

How do you fill in your weekend? Most of us would probably appreciate a lie in, then maybe a trip to cafe for brekky then a lazy walk on the beach.  But not self proclaimed 'sporty spicette' Julia Nash.

For Julia, getting up at the crack of dawn to do a hardout Ludus Magnus (described as Crossfit on crack), then maybe run later in the day is a typical Saturday, then on Sunday its a leisurely stairclimb for an hour or so.
But Julia hasn't always been the fitness freak and you'd be surprised by her body transformation from fat and unfit to the super fit gym bunny she is today.

Check out our Q & A with Julia and get inspired by her up and go attitude - and get your fitness going too!

Katie and Kym

We first brought you 'The incredible Kym Carter' story in 2009 where we found out how Kym overcome the trauma of brain surgery to successfully compete in her bodybuilding shows.

This time we are sad to reveal that after 14 years of competitive bodybuilding Kym is finally going to hang up her bikini this year. But not before she crosses a few comps off her list that she hasn't done before.
