How do you fill in your weekend? Most of us would probably appreciate a lie in, then maybe a trip to cafe for brekky then a lazy walk on the beach.  But not self proclaimed 'sporty spicette' Julia Nash.

For Julia, getting up at the crack of dawn to do a hardout Ludus Magnus (described as Crossfit on crack), then maybe run later in the day is a typical Saturday, then on Sunday its a leisurely stairclimb for an hour or so.
But Julia hasn't always been the fitness freak and you'd be surprised by her body transformation from fat and unfit to the super fit gym bunny she is today.

Ruth 76kg
Even the healthiest of us can fall into the fat trap.  Just ask 28 year old Ruth Naidoo.  Ironically although Ruth is a lecturer in Health Science, through stresses of moving and forgetting about to keep herself healthy, she got into bad eating habits and the weight piled on.

One day she had enough of feeling depressed and miserable and decided she would feel better if she just lost 10kg.  And with that mission she contacted Tarren McCall to help her with her nutrition and the rest they say is history.
She not only lost the 10kg but has reached the svelt weight of 58.8kg, revealing a lean and muscular body which is almost ready to compete at the INBA Champs in June. 

Ruth has not yet quite finished her transformation but she shares with us her journey so far....

Katie and Kym

We first brought you 'The incredible Kym Carter' story in 2009 where we found out how Kym overcome the trauma of brain surgery to successfully compete in her bodybuilding shows.

This time we are sad to reveal that after 14 years of competitive bodybuilding Kym is finally going to hang up her bikini this year. But not before she crosses a few comps off her list that she hasn't done before.

  Johanna Mountfort had a great year in 2011 winning the NABBA Overall Figure Title and the INBA South Pacific Champs.  She hopes to continue her winning form at the upcoming NABBA Auckland Champs and potentially some overseas comps she has her eyes on.

With that aim also comes huge pressure to perform which Johanna thrives on!  In this video we watch Jo's intense back training and also ask what drives her to achieve her best condition each time.
